Title: Project Manager

Role: Climate, Energy and Atmosphere Programme

Anton joined SEI Tallinn in October 2007 and works as a Project Manager and Senior Researcher within the Climate, Energy and Atmosphere Programme of SEI Tallinn.

Anton is an expert and researcher in the field of sustainable development of the energy sector, energy statistics (balances), energy indicators of the sustainable development, energy-related environmental taxation and renewable energy sources – in particular in use of biomass for electricity and heat production (cogeneration).

Current activities
- Project Manager of the EC 6th FP Single Support Action project COFITECK (Co-firing – from research to practice: technology and biomass supply know-how promotion in Central and Eastern Europe).

An expert work in SEI-Tallinn team of Strategic Environment Assessment (SEA) of the Estonian National Energy Development Plan for 2020.

Work experience before SEI
After graduating Tallinn Technical University he worked more than 30 years in the Estonian Institute of Economics at Tallinn University of Technology (former Institute of Economics of the Estonian Academy of Sciences) and in its successor – Centre for Economic Research of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Tallinn University of Technology in the field of energy and environmental economics.

Education
Faculty of Economics of the Tallinn Technical University (cum laude 1974), Ph.D from the Estonian Academy of Sciences in mathematical economics (1982).
