Title: Communications Manager
Role: SEI-US and Reducing Climate Risk theme
Centre: US
Marion is communications manager for SEI-US and for the Reducing Climate Risk theme across SEI, and is part of SEI's global communications team.
She works as a publicist, writer and editor, develops and implements communications strategies, and runs the @SEIclimate Twitter feed. She joined SEI-US in January 2010 and has more than 15 years' experience in journalism, public relations, and public-policy writing. Prior to joining SEI, she worked as a reporter at the New York Daily News and the Providence Journal and as managing editor at Providence Business News, and in public relations for Rhode Island School of Design.
Born and raised in Costa Rica, she is fluent in Spanish and English and also speaks German and French. She has a B.A. in English and history from Georgetown University and an M.S. in print journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
