Ben Smith is heavily involved in the continued development of the weADAPT platform on climate change adaptation.
Ben works on the C3D+ programme collborating with several partners in Africa and Asia to build capacity on climate change adaptation. This includes training workshops and working closely with users to further develop tools to support adaptation.
Ben ran a project to support Sida's helpdesks by providing national climate change analyses, which included overviews of climate change impacts as well as institutional and policy analysis and recommendations on areas to focus Swedish development cooperation.
Ben has a BSc Geography from the University of Durham and a Masters in Water Science and Governance from Kings College London, and recently started a NERC-funded PhD at King's College London exploring the use of river restoration to support and maintain aquatic ecosystem services.
