Tea is currently managing the SEI Tallinn Centre in addition to running the Environmental Economics Programme of the Centre. She also carries out separate research projects.
Tea has her education in environmental policy, public administration, production management and economics. At present her main field of research is capital approach in monitoring and management of the long-term sustainable development.
The main focus is on integration of economic and environmental policies as well as sustainable development indicators. She is also interested in researching micro-macro linkages of environmental accounting to provide needed information for modeling and scenario analyses in national policy impact assessments.
Tea also has experience in introducing environmental management systems in private and public sector.
She is a member of national expert group on Strategic Impact Assessment coordinated by the Estonian State Chancellery as well as a member of joint the UNECE/OECD/EUROSTAT Working Group on Statistics for Sustainable Development (WGSSD).
