Challenging the rural-urban dichotomy in risk analysis
This pilot study in 2007 was a joint research project between SEI Oxford and SEI Asia dealing with cases of water privatisation in Asia and Africa.The desk study was based on secondary information. SEI used Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA), a method developed for cross-case comparison to unravel causal complexity associated with an identified outcome - in this case the decision on whether to privatise water management or not.
