Decision Support System for Sustainable Water Supply Planning
SEI staff working in collaboration with staff of the Natural Heritage Institute (NHI) have refined SEI’s WEAP software to serve as a platform for water resource management for three urban water utilities in the USA (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Austin, Texas; and Portland, Oregon).For the Austin application, SEI has developed a new financial planning module to inform decision making on future water contract needs and demand side management alternatives. For Philadelphia, SEI has prepared a detailed water balance. For Portland SEI has developed an application of the water source/conveyance system for the city.
