As world leaders meet in Copenhagen this December to attempt a new global climate agreement, SEI’s Asia Centre director Dr Lailai Li tells the Asia Sentinel that there are three things the international community must do.

Over the next two decades, the efforts of China and other developing countries will be crucial to achieving the Kyoto Protocol target of stabilizing CO2 so that global warming is kept within the 2C threshold agreed by the Group of Eight industrialized countries.
